Douglas M. Berg, CPA
Doug began his accounting career in 1974 after serving nearly four years in the U.S. Marine Corps. Realizing his European History Degree had limited utility to him, he returned to the University of Minnesota earning a degree in Accounting. His three years as a Revenue Agent for the Internal Revenue Service gave him wide exposure to the intricacies of the Internal Revenue Code and set him on the path to public accounting. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1976.
His public accounting service began in Visalia in 1978 and he has remained here ever since. Visalia has been good to Doug as it has to his wife Judee and daughter Emily.
Judee has enjoyed a long career of her own in healthcare starting as a Registered Nurse, Hospital Administrator, and now as the Executive Director of a Non-Profit Organization helping the Nursing Profession manage the changes occurring in healthcare on the national level.
Emily is a professional in her own right having earned a Master Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California.
